Hokie ClubLYNCHBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech distance squad competed at the Hill City Twilight meet on May 2.
Nick Plant, the program record holder in the outdoor 1500m, set a new record in the event with his 3:36.60, besting the previous mark by 1.28 seconds. Viktor Idhammar followed Plant's efforts with his 3:37.99 for the No. 2 all-time mark in Virginia Tech's history. Declan Rymer also tacked on an all-time top performance with his 3:39.89 for the No. 7 slot.
The Hokies accumulated five event wins in the meet.
