Colby Culpepper begins his second season as a student manager with the Virginia Tech baseball team after joining the staff in the fall of 2022. In his sophomore year, Culpepper assists in field set up and tear down, feeds pitching machines, aids in laundry and pregame meal delivery duties, as well as other various tasks during practices and before games.
Culpepper is originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he attended North Davidson High School and participated on the football and baseball teams. Born and raised a Virginia Tech fan, Culpepper chose to attend VT and has plans to major in accounting and become a certified public accountant. Colby is the son of Danny and Pam Culpepper, and has one sister, Caitlyn Culpepper. His father, Danny, was also a member of the Virginia Tech baseball team. As a North Carolina native, he spends his time rooting for the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, and Atlanta Braves.
