LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Virginia Tech women's track and field team concluded day four of the NCAA East First Round on Saturday, securing the Hokies final ticket to Eugene, Ore. for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Junior Lindsey Butler cemented her spot into the 1500m semifinals finishing fifth in heat one of the quarterfinals in Lexington, Ky. with a time of 4:09.17. Prior to Regionals, Butler was ranked tied for third in the NCAA with a personal-best time of 4:07.96. She will be making her seventh career appearance at the national meet, first in 1500m.
