Sanchez enters his third season with the Hokies in 2023-24 after joining the Virginia Tech women's basketball staff in July of 2021 as the program's video coordinator. His responsibilities include creating content for the program's social media platforms, as well as handling all recruiting creative content for the program.
He came to Blacksburg after spending the four years working with various athletic programs.
A Reno, Nevada native, Sanchez started his career as a student manager for the Nevada men's basketball team under Coach Eric Musselman. There, he captured photos, designed content and curated videos for the team’s social media accounts. Following graduation he worked with other Division 1 basketball programs, such as Santa Clara, George Mason, Texas Southern and Cal State Fullerton, to design recruiting and social media templates. Alongside his basketball career, Sanchez worked as the graphic design assistant for both the Reno Aces in the MiLB and for Reno 1868 FC in the USL.
During the 2020-2021 season, Sanchez rejoined Nevada, this time under Head Coach Steve Alford, as a program volunteer. There he handled all photo and video needs for the program, as well as ran the team’s social media accounts and handled all recruiting graphic needs.
