2021-22 (Junior)

Started in 20 of 31 games scoring 5.2 points and securing 6.0 rebounds. Baines recorded two double-doubles; at Wisconsin, and vs. Radford. She secured 16 rebounds in the win at Duke and scored a career-high 20 points on 10-of-11 shooting vs. Clemson.

2020-21 (Sophomore)

  • Could not participate for the first seven games of the season until her waiver was approved. Made her debut vs. Florida State scoring nine points in 18 minutes.
  • Started for the first time as as Hokie against second-ranked Louisville, scoring eight points.
  • Had 16 starts in 18 games, averaging 6.5 points and 5.9 rebounds.
  • Scored 16 points in the Hokies' OT victory over No. 2 NC State.
  • Recorded her first career double-double against North Carolina with 12 points and 11 rebounds.


2019-20 (Freshman at Duke): Started four of 29 contests, averaging 4.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. She posted five double-digit scoring performances including a career-high 15 twice and a 12-point effort at sixth-ranked Texas A&M. Baines played a season-high 35 minutes at seventh-ranked Louisville. 
 
High School: Had a decorated career with numerous accolades that included; The 2019 Courier Post, Gloucester County Times and Al Carino Basketball Club Player of the Year. She was one of five finalists for the New Jersey State Player of the Year and closed her high school career with 1,751 points averaging 20 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 3.7 assists as a senior. In 2017-18 she was the South Jersey Times Girls Basketball and Courier Post Player of the Year as well as South Jersey MVP in 2017-18. Baines earned Second Team All-State in 2018 and led her squad to the Books & Basketball Association Run 4 Roses Platinum Division Championship in 2018, in addition to being selected to the Run 4 Roses U-16 Attitude Division 2018 All-Tournament Team and Most Valuable Player. 
 
Personal: 

  • Born on September 23 in Vorhees, N.J. Is the daughter of Charles Cordy and Erika Baines and has six sisters; Mystique, Khaaliyah, Anisa, Ajan’ee, Alonsa and Adaya.
  • She is enrolled in sociology courses.
