Responsibilities: Kelsey is the athletic trainer with women’s volleyball

Prior to Virginia Tech: Kelsey attended Michigan State University for her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training where she graduated in 2015. While at MSU, she worked with the football team, XC and track and field as well as women’s tennis. After graduating from MSU, Kelsey became a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Virginia Tech while working with the women’s soccer and softball teams. While at Virginia Tech, Kelsey was a teaching assistant for the “Introduction to Sports Medicine” undergraduate class and started an independent study for HNFE students who were looking to continue to an entry level master’s athletic training program. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a Master’s in education, Kelsey completed a year-long internship at The Ohio State University where she worked with their softball team. Kelsey returned to Virginia during the summer of 2018 to work with the volleyball team as a resident athletic trainer and in January of 2019 was hired full time.

Of Note: Kelsey proudly became a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association in 2015. She is a licensed athletic trainer by the Virginia Board of Health Professions.
Personal: Kelsey is from East Lansing, Michigan and enjoys spending time with friends and family (preferably on a beach), reading and traveling. Kelsey currently resides in Christiansburg, VA.
