Hokie ClubPriority Point Program
The Hokie Club Priority Points Program rewards both donor loyalty and generosity. Each donor's priority point total determines his/her priority ranking and plays a determining factor in how various benefits are allocated, such as:
- Selection order for season ticket location for football and/or men's basketball
- Selection order for season parking location for football and/or men's basketball
- Football parking locations will be based upon meeting the minimum gift requirement for the associated lots at the time of selection
- Men's basketball parking will be assigned based on priority points as of March 1, 2025
- Neutral site and postseason ticket allocation including ACC championships, NCAA tournaments, and bowl games
- Hokie Scholarship Fund donors receive early access to purchase tickets for single game, away game, mini-plans, neutral site and postseason tickets for football, men's basketball and women's basketball
- Tickets will be allocated based on donors' priority point totals.
All other benefits will be allocated first based upon donors' annual Hokie Scholarship Fund giving level and secondly based upon their priority points. Please see the Benefits Chart above for detailed information.
For the 2025-26 athletics season, priority point rankings will be calculated based on giving history and current gift as of March 1, 2025. Additionally, 2025-26 benefits will be allocated based on membership level as of the same deadline. Any additional contributions to the Hokie Scholarship Fund due to selections of seat and parking location(s) will not impact membership level, but will impact priority points in future years.
Donors to the Hokie Scholarship Fund will have a chance to earn bonus priority points with four early deadlines in Drive Year 2025! This is an excellent way to accumulate extra points during a pivotal reseating year. Check out the early deadlines:
September 25, 2024: Complete your Hokie Scholarship Fund (HSF) giving and season ticket renewal by this date to receive 25 additional priority points ($1,250 value). Also, five randomly selected accounts who renew by this date will receive a 100 priority point bonus. Bonus is also available for new buyers/donors.
October 25, 2024: Complete your Hokie Scholarship Fund (HSF) giving and season ticket renewal by this date to receive 15 additional priority points ($750 value). Also, five randomly selected accounts who renew by this date will receive a 75 priority point bonus. Bonus is also available for new buyers/donors.
November 25, 2024: Complete your Hokie Scholarship Fund (HSF) giving and season ticket renewal by this date to receive 10 additional priority points ($500 value). Also, five randomly selected accounts who renew by this date will receive a 50 priority point bonus. Bonus is also available for new buyers/donors.
January 25, 2025: Complete your Hokie Scholarship Fund (HSF) giving and season ticket renewal by this date to receive five additional priority points ($250 value). Also, five randomly selected accounts who renew by this date will receive a 25 priority point bonus. Bonus is also available for new buyers/donors.
How is loyalty rewarded in the systems?
The Hokie Club Priority Point Program is designed to reward loyal supporters. Because points now accumulate over a lifetime of giving rather than starting over at zero each year; loyalty and consecutive years of giving will play a bigger role in your priority ranking.
What are other ways to accumulate priority points?
Any gift made to the Hokie Club will earn two points for every $100. Other giving opportunities include planned giving, capital projects, scholarship endowments, special projects, and sport specific giving. Is there any way I can lose my priority points?
All points related to cumulative giving, purchasing postseason or neutral site tickets, membership in the Student Hokie Club, and being a former Virginia Tech letter winner accumulate over time and will never be lost. However, points related to consecutive years of giving to the Hokie Scholarship Fund and purchasing season tickets for football or men's basketball will be lost if a donor fails to renew their gift or purchase tickets in a consecutive given year.
Can my benefits related to giving and tickets be transferred to someone else?
All benefits related to donations and tickets (including priority points) can only be transferred to a spouse. No other immediate family members, friends, or other entities will qualify for a transfer of donor or ticket benefits.
Is there somewhere I can calculate my priority points or that will tell me what they would be when I make my next gift?
Yes! Visit your Hokie Club online account and select, "View Priority Points and Rank" and a priority point calculator will be located there. How does the Hokie Scholarship Fund Priority Point Ranking work? How do I ensure that I am ranked for priority seat selection for football?
The Hokie Scholarship Fund Priority Point system rewards loyalty and generosity to Virginia Tech Athletics. In order to be ranked, donors need to be sure to make a gift of at least $25 to the Hokie Scholarship Fund before March 1, 2025. This gift will activate priority points and ranking for 2025-26 benefits, including priority seat selection and parking.
