Payment Plans
You can meet your desired giving level to the Hokie Scholarship Fund before the March 1 deadline by setting up a payment plan! These plans draft on the 15th or 28th of each month. There are multiple ways to do this:

Monthly Payment Plans: Available to setup completely online, this payment plan option will fulfill your desired giving level before the March 1 deadline. This option expires at the conclusion of the current Drive Year. After the deadline, you must sign up for a new payment plan through eVenue. After choosing your desired giving amount, select “Setup a Payment Schedule” under the “Payment Options” tab to begin creating your payment plan. There's also an option to continue your payment plan after the final deadline of March 1, 2024. If you select this option, the payment plan amount will automatically prorate to a 12-month span for the next drive year. This is a perfect way to meet your per-seat requirement without having to pay a lump sum all at once!

ONLINE PAYMENT PLAN

Credit card recurring payments may also be set over the phone by calling 1(800) VATECH4 or by visiting the Hokie Club office in person.

HokieMATIC/Electronic Draft: This option allows you to connect your bank account to a recurring payment plan that contributes to the Hokie Scholarship Fund indefinitely. These payments will continue unless directed otherwise. To set up a electronic draft payment plan from your bank account, fill out the form below and send it to our mailing address you can find below on this page.

Matching Gifts
Increase your level of giving by matching your gift with charitable contributions from your employer. Please note, with recent tax law changes, your company's matching gift program may no longer match gifts that allow for ticket benefits. Please consult with your employer for more information.

Gifts of Securities
Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. are accepted and appreciated by the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund. These gifts typically involves publicly traded shares, such as those traded on the major exchanges and over the counter, as well as most mutual funds. Gifts of privately held stock, through more complex, are also possible.

Supporting Virginia Tech with a gift of securities can provide significant tax benefits for the donor – bypassing capital gains taxes and providing a valuable income tax deduction – both of which effectively reduce the cost of making a gift.

For more information, please contact the Virginia Tech Foundation at (540) 231-2861

Planned or Real Estate Gifts
Gifts in the form of life income gifts (Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Gift Annuity), charitable lead trusts, and/or bequests are common ways to state your intentions of leaving a future gift to Virginia Tech Athletics while receiving substantial income, estate, and gift tax benefits now.

Donor-Advised Funds, Private Foundations and IRA's
Donor-Advised Funds, private foundations, and IRA's are accepted, but cannot be used to benefit your Hokie Club membership level. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.

Waiver of Benefits
For a gift to be 100% tax deductible, the donor must decline their right to receive any benefits at the time you make your contribution. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.

Tax Information
Your gift to the Virginia Tech Foundation, which acts as the depository for the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund, is tax deductible as provided for by law. For any portion of your gift not applied to a per-seat contribution for athletic tickets, we acknowledge that no goods or services were provided in consideration for your donation. We encourage donors to seek their own tax and legal counsel in matters related to charitable giving. Any donation made to the Virginia Tech Athletic Department makes the donor a representative of the University's athletics interest per NCAA regulations.
