Rob Lowery

Rob Lowery joined the Hokies in September of 2026 as a Coaching Assistant following one season as. a graduate student manager in 2025-26 at Kansas State.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Lowery enjoyed a 15-year professional career overseas. After a two-year stint at Dayton, where he was part of a Flyers squad that won the 2010 NIT title, Lowery played for various professional teams across 15 seasons, including in Germany, Czech Republic, Turkey, Italy, Greece, Kazakhstan, Poland, Belarus, Kuwait and most recently in Bahrain.
 
The Washington, D.C., native also spent time at both Chesapeake Community College and Cecil College, where he earned an associate’s degree in general studies in 2008. He was a First Team Division II Junior College All-American at Cecil, where he played for Jareem Dowling.
 
Lowery earned a bachelor's degree in general studies from Dayton in 2010. 
 
Lowery has two daughters, Havanah and Lyric.
