CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Thirteen members of the Virginia Tech indoor track and field team were named to the 2026 ACC All-Academic Team, the conference announced Friday.
To be eligible for All-ACC Academic honors, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade-point average over the previous two semesters and a 3.0 cumulative GPA for their academic career. Nominees must be enrolled at their institution for at least one year, classified as undergraduates, and have competed in the ACC Championships, or NCAA Championships.
Katie Bohlke — Virginia Tech — So. — Exercise & Health Sciences
During the indoor season, Bohlke secured bronze in the women’s 3000m at ACCs, crossing in 8:56.82 to earn First Team All-ACC recognition. She also set the program record in the 3000m with an 8:55 at the ASICS Sound Invite, becoming the Virginia Tech record holder and the first Hokie to go sub-9 minutes in the event.
Katrin Brzyszkowska — Virginia Tech — Sr. — Communication
Brzyszkowska won her first ACC title during the indoor season with a personal-best throw of 17.00m (55’ 9.25”) in the shot put. Her championship performance capped a dominant season in which she won nearly every competition, solidifying her place among the program’s all-time greats.
Linus Chepkochei — Virginia Tech — So. — Biology
Chepkochei etched his name into Virginia Tech’s all-time records with a personal-best 14:01.33 in the 5K at the Sound Invite, moving to No. 6 on the program’s all-time list.
Ryan Chevalier — Virginia Tech — Sr. — Finance
Chevalier secured second place in the 3000m at the ASICS Sound Invite with a personal-best time of 7:58.82, moving into the No. 8 spot on Virginia Tech’s all-time top 10 list.
Ethan Coleman — Virginia Tech — Sr. — Agribusiness
Cameron Davis — Virginia Tech — So. — Exercise & Health Sciences
Dylan DeCambre — Virginia Tech — Jr. — Civil Engineering
DeCambre earned a third-place podium finish in 1:47.50 to receive First Team All-ACC recognition. He also helped lead the Hokies to a third-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships as part of the DMR squad, running the 1200m leg in 2:55.09.
Jack Helmich — Virginia Tech — Sr. — Finance
Helmich contributed two points at ACCs by clearing 5.00m (16' 4.75") in the pole vault, tying for seventh place.
Sophia Holgado — Virginia Tech — So. — Exercise & Health Sciences
Roan Kelly — Virginia Tech — Sr. — Finance
Helped the men’s distance medley relay team place fifth at ACCs in 9:37.51, contributing a 4:02.82 split on the 1600m leg to earn four team points.
Nate Paris — Virginia Tech — Sr. — Biology
Paris earned his second consecutive All-American honor in the heptathlon, finishing eighth overall with a personal-best 5,917 points. He defended his Virginia Tech school record and the Canadian U23 indoor heptathlon record, improving from last year’s 5,617 points. He also earned First Team All-ACC honors after finishing second at ACCs with a personal-best performance.
Nick Plant — Virginia Tech — Sr. — Management
Plant defended his status as the program’s all-time best in the 1000m, running 2:17.80 to rank No. 5 on the NCAA all-time list and earn Men’s Indoor Track Performer of the Week honors. He finished second in the mile at ACCs (3:58.41) and ran the second-fastest mile in program history at 3:54.75 at the Battle for Boston. He also ran the 1600m leg (3:56.38) on the DMR team that placed third at nationals (9:21.69), earning First Team All-American honors.
Chiara Sistermann — Virginia Tech — Jr. — Biology
Sistermann earned second place at ACCs in the pole vault, clearing 4.45m to secure First Team All-ACC honors for the third straight year and her fifth career All-ACC award. She also earned Second Team All-American honors with a 4.26m clearance, marking her first indoor All-American recognition.
