CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Yekini Bowen has been named the ACC Men’s Indoor Field Performer of the Week, while the men’s distance medley relay team was named the ACC Men’s Indoor Track Performers of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Bowen made his debut for the program at the Virginia Tech Challenge on Feb. 21, making his mark in the program record book after winning the shot put with a personal-best 17.75 meters (58 feet, 3 inches). The mark ranks 10th all-time in Virginia Tech history.

The DMR traveled to Boston for the Saucony Battle for Boston on Feb. 22, where it finished second behind Oregon (9:14.88) with a time of 9:15.05. The mark shattered the previous program record of 9:19.88, set in 2025 by Nick Plant, Sam Herenton, Christian Jackson and George Couttie.

The time ranks No. 3 all-time in NCAA history. The Hokies currently sit third on the 2026 NCAA qualifying list and first in the ACC this season.

The DMR squad consisted of:

Dylan DeCambre — 1,200 meters (2:49.52)
Calvin Meyer — 400 meters (46.92)
Christian Jackson — 800 meters (1:45.41)
