Indoor Track & Field (2025): Competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships as a member of the men's 4x400m to earn second team All-American honors... Competed in the 200m (21.58), 400m (47.45) and 4x400m (3:07.87) at the ACC Championships to earn second team All-ACC honors in thr 4x400m... Was a member of the men's DMR team that posted the NCAA No. 11 all-time performance with the 9:19.88 which was also the program record... Ran a season-best 200m of 21.20 at the Tiger Paw Invitational... Ran a career-best 400m of 47.42 at the Tiger Paw Invitational.
Prior to Virginia Tech: (2024) Ran two 400m and a 4x400m relay during the indoor campaign… Competed in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m and 4x400m relay events in the outdoor season… Claimed first in the 100m at the UCLA “Legends” Invite in April… Ran the third leg of the 4x400m relay at the Pac-12 Championships, placing second in the Conference (3:02.39) with the four-man team… That mark jumped to eight on UCLA’s all-time record list… Also placed third in the Pac-12 as the anchor of the 4x100m relay (39.70)… Finished 10th in the nation with the men’s 4x400m at the NCAA Championships… Honors: USTFCCCA Second-Team All-America (4x400m)... (2023) Ran two races in his one appearance during the indoor season… Ran 47.82 in the 400m at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Invitational… Ran the second leg of the first-place-finishing 4x400m relay at the meet… The relay team ran a 3:05.03, setting the then-school record for indoor competition… Dethroned later by another set of Bruins at the Don Kirby Invite… Appeared in eight races throughout the 2023 outdoor campaign… Ran four 400m races, debuting at the Rafer Johnson-Jackie Joyner Kersee Invitational on March 25… Recorded a season-best 47.82 in the meet… Ran the 200m at the Mt. SAC Relays… Part of three 4x400m relay teams during the season… The relay team ran a season-best 3:12.64 at the Jim Click Shootout, placing fifth at the meet... (2022) Competed in the 400m … Recorded a season best at the Pac-12 Championships clocking in at 49.50 (May 14).
High School: Competed in track and basketball for Providence St. Mel School in Chicago, Ill. … Was the State Champion in the 400m in 2019 … Also won a state title in basketball in 2019 … Ran a personal-best time of 48.1 in the 400m.
Personal: Son of Andrea and Rodney Herenton... Has two siblings, Rodney and Willie... Brother, Rodney, played basketball at Stanford and brother, Willie, played basketball at Miami... Working towards a master's in argibusiness and a master's in educational leadership.
