Fan experience elements unveiled for 2025-26 Virginia Tech basketball seasons

As tipoff draws closer and Hokie Nation's anticipation about returning to Cassell Coliseum ramps up, fans can look forward to home games that feature can’t-miss entertainment elements. From exciting halftime acts to in-venue upgrades and brand-new special concession offerings, the upcoming men’s and women’s seasons have something for everyone. See below for the highlights and refer to the Cassell Coliseum Fan Guide for more information.

Special Concessions Offers 

  • Youth Package: This season, fans can purchase a $10 deal for kids 10 years and younger, which includes: 12oz soda or water, a hot dog, and chips. This is available at Hokie Express stands only. 
  • Player Ice Cream: All season long with the women's team, we’re celebrating home wins with the players’ favorite ice cream! After every victory in Cassell, fans can enjoy the same sweet treat the team chose at the next home game.
  • Pumpkin Spice & Caramel Apples (Women’s Basketball vs. Coastal Carolina - Nov. 15): Warm up for gameday with fall favorites — grab a pumpkin spice cold brew and a sweet caramel apple while you cheer on the Hokies! Celebrate the season and the team with these limited-time treats available at Concession Stand 4 (closest to Section 111) in the southwest corner.
  • Bring Your Own Cup (Women's Basketball vs. Duke - Dec. 7): Fans can bring their own clear vessel to use as a cup, which cannot exceed 15 oz and cannot contain metal. Fans can fill their “cup” for $5 at Concession Stand 4 (closest to Section 111) in the southwest corner of the arena.
  • International Night Offers (Men’s Basketball vs. George Mason - Dec. 6): Fans can purchase a pretzel with beer cheese, spanakopita, or scones for $6.50. Additionally, cider or British Beer will be available for purchase. All offerings will be served out of Concession Stand 4 (closest to Section 111) in the southwest corner of the arena. 
  • Holiday Hoops Hot Chocolate (Men’s Basketball vs. Elon - Dec. 20): Fans can purchase a drink from the hot chocolate bar for $6 per cup. This will be served out of Concession Stand 4 (closest to Section 111) in the southwest corner of the arena. 
  • Chicken Tender Wednesday (Men’s Basketball vs. Stanford - Jan. 7): The first 100 fans will receive free chicken tenders at the Promotions Booth by Section 101. Fans not in the first 100 will be able to purchase this chicken tender deal at the Concession Stand 4 (closest to Section 111) in the southwest corner of the arena. 
  • Dairy Club Strawberry Milkshakes (Men’s Basketball vs. Florida State - Feb. 14): Fans can purchase strawberry milkshakes at the Dairy Club stand on the south side of the arena. 
  • Bring Your Own Popcorn Bucket Night (Men’s Basketball vs. Boston College - Mar. 3): Fans can bring their own clear vessel to use as a popcorn bucket, which cannot exceed one gallon in size. Early arriving fans can fill their buckets for free at the Promotions Booth behind Section 101 while supplies last. Once the free popcorn runs out, fans can fill their “bucket” for $6 at Concession Stand 4 (closest to Section 111) in the southwest corner of the arena.

The best way to do this is to wear the Hokie Effect t-shirt designed specifically for that game. 
 
The purchase of a single Hokie Effect shirt helps fund student-athlete initiatives, undergraduate student government, and for the 2025-26 academic years, the Student Emergency Fund.

Virginia Tech Athletics offers group tickets to any groups of 10 or more who would like to attend ticketed events in Blacksburg (while supplies last). Depending on group size and wishes, the athletic department can create memorable and unique experiences such as prize packs, and more. Group leaders have the opportunity to work with a dedicated account executive to assist with obtaining tickets, planning and gameday experiences. This season, Cassell Coliseum is stepping up its game with exciting new enhancements! Brand-new videoboards have been installed to elevate your viewing experience. Get ready for the debut of cryo carts in the intro sequence, adding an extra burst of excitement. Plus, the electrifying Hokie Lights Show, proudly presented by Coca-Cola, is back to light up every ACC matchup! And don’t miss your favorite in-venue host, Bailey Angle, along with DJ Flex, returning to keep the energy high all season long.

On-campus parking is metered until 10 p.m., Monday-Friday. Visitors should pay for parking within these hours via the ParkMobile app or the Parking Services office online or in-person during business hours. In addition, Lots 1, 4, and 8 require a Virginia Tech Basketball parking pass. Fans using a Virginia Tech Basketball pass in these lots do not need to pay for parking via ParkMobile or parking services.

As part of Virginia Tech's commitment to ensuring the safety of and providing a secure environment for all attendees, walk-through metal detectors will be implemented at all Virginia Tech sporting events. For more information click here.

All fans are asked to comply with Virginia Tech Athletics' Clear Bag Policy, which allows for a better and quicker experience at doors and serves as a public safety measure. The policy is available here for fans prior to visiting Cassell Coliseum.
