In order to promote athletic excellence and fan enjoyment, we ask for your assistance in displaying a high degree of sportsmanship at all times. Virginia Tech reserves the right to remove from the arena those individuals whose conduct disrupts players, coaches, officials or other fans. Use of foul, abusive, obscene, or discriminatory (on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, age, race, national origin, religion, military status, disability status or any other characteristic) language or gestures are prohibited. No refunds will be given in these cases. Any person entering the field of play at any time will be subject to arrest.

Hokie fans are known for their support of the Virginia Tech and how they have made Cassell Coliseum one of the greatest "home courts" in the country. A big contributor to that enthusiasm is the pre-game spirit built before the start of each event. As we continue with that long-standing tradition, let us not forget "Hokies Respect" and our goal of creating a first-class environment to lend our support to the Hokies while maintaining a safe and fun environment for all Hokies and our visitors.

As part of Virginia Tech’s commitment to ensuring the safety of and providing a secure environment for all attendees, walk-through metal detectors will be implemented at all entrances at Cassell Coliseum. This is a common practice at many major sports and event venues across the country, and the selected VT partner works with major sporting events throughout the year. Fans are asked to follow the guidance provided from security screening personnel.

Touchless walk-through metal detectors will be used at all Cassell Coliseum entry points. Fans will proceed through metal detectors prior to having their tickets scanned for venue entry. Entrants will not need to remove items such as belts, cell phones, coins, jackets, jewelry, watches, wallets, shoes or other small objects. Please proceed through the detectors at a normal pace.

If additional screening is necessary, security staff will ask the individual to proceed to a secondary screening area, where they will be asked to divest themselves of certain items and pass through again until clear. Those who have prohibited items will have to dispose of them or return those items to their cars before entering the facility.
