BLACKSBURG – The No. 13 Hokie men and the No. 23 Hokie women started off the Virginia Tech Invitational setting multiple top 10 times and breaking five pool records at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
HEAD COACH SERGIO LOPEZ MIRO
"The morning session was a little bit flat, I think some swimmers were a bit nervous at the fact that they have a chance to make the ACC team. This afternoon, we came back and swam very well. We had a few top ten times and pool records, so that's exciting. It's a hard time to race when you're tapering down times, but I'm proud of how the team came back. We're taking great steps and we have a lot of momentum going into ACCs so I'm pretty excited."
