2018-19:
Started in four duals and went 4-5 … Suffered a season-ending injury … Defeated West Virginia’s KJ Fenstermacher in the dual by a 9-2 decision … Went 3-2 at the Hokie Open.

2017-18: NCAA qualifier … Earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Championships … Went 12-16 as a redshirt freshman … Finished the regular season with a record of 11-12 … Went 1-2 at the NCAA Championships … Defeated Rider’s Gerald Wert with a 9-7 decision in a first round consolation bout … Faced 12 NCAA qualifiers during the regular season … Pinned eventual ACC third placer Lorenzo Bentley of Pitt in sudden victory overtime … Defeated Old Dominion’s Michael McGee by decision, 9-3 … Topped Chattanooga’s Alonzo Allen by major decision in a dual, 17-6 … Four of his first five victories were won by fall … Pinned American’s Will Bardezbain in 4:05 and American’s Gage Curry in 4:38 at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic.

2016-17: Redshirted … Went 12-5 wrestling unattached at 125 pounds … Tallied seven bonus point victories … Placed eighth at University Nationals after going 5-3 … Took third at the Franklin & Marshall Open where he went 4-1 … Went 3-1 at the Storm Open, winning by major decision, tech fall and fall in 3:00 … Picked up win over UVA’s Louie Hayes and NC State’s Charles Lenox at the Appalachian Open.

High School: A five-time FHSAA state champion ... Had two top-five appearances at Super 32 in 2013 and 2014 ... Member of the FILA Cadet GR World Team Member, as well as a 2013 FILA All-American ... Earned four letters at Brandon High School competing in three different weight classes over the course of his career.

Personal: Born September 3, 1996 in Tampa, Florida … Parents are Tim and Nancy Norstrem … Has one older brother, Kevin, a former Hokie wreslter … Majoring in marketing.
