2005 Indoor: Placed seventh in the weight throw with 54'6.50" (16.62m) and finished in 11th place with 50' (15.24m) at the ACC Championships ... Set a personal-best mark of 56'8" (17.27) in the weight throw for a third-place finish in the event and threw a personal season-best 51'10.50" (15.81m) in the shot put at the Carolina Classic.

2004 Outdoor: Finished eighth in the shot put at the BIG EAST Championships with a throw of 51'4.25" (15.65m) ... Posted a season best with 52'0.5" (15.86m) at the SeaRay Relays which was 11th place ... Was second at the Virginia Tech Invitational, 11th at the Long Beach Invitational and 22nd at the Raleigh Relays.

2004 Indoor: Had nine top-10 performances during the indoor season ... Finished eighth in the shot put with 50'6.25" (15.40m) and seventh in the weight throw with 52'9.5" (16.09m) at the BIG EAST Championships ... Recorded season-best throws at the conference championships ... Took third and fourth place at the VMI Invitational.

2003 Outdoor: Came in sixth in the shot put at the BIG EAST Championships with a throw of 50'7.25" (15.42m) ... Recorded bests of 50'11.5" (15.53m) in the shot and 148'3" (45.20m) in the discus ... On the entire season, recorded 14 top-10 finishes in 17 competitions.

2003 Indoor: Was also ninth indoors with a heave of 50'0" (15.24m) and 10th in the weight throw with a mark of 48'11" (14.91m) ... Finished the indoor season with personal bests of 52'11" (16.13m) in the weight throw and 50'4.75" (15.36m) in the shot put.

High School: Was a three-time regional champion in the shot put, finishing fifth in the state twice ... Also tied for second in the state in the discus ... Was named the Richmond Times-Dispatch scholar athlete of the year runner-up.

Personal: Born on May 2, 1984 in Richmond, Va. ... Son of L. Dennis and JoAnn Collins ... Civil engineering major.
