2023: Started in 58 games for the Hokies, posting a team-high .368 batting average… Led the team with 68 hits, 46 RBI and 124 total bases… Recorded a .670 slugging percentage and a .432 on base percentage… Ranked second on the team in home runs with 14 and doubles with 10, adding two triples… Struck out only five times in 185 at bats, ranking first in the ACC and fourth nationally in toughest to strike out… Stole 17 bases on 18 attempts to rank second on the team… Went 2-for-4 against UNCW on opening weekend with a double, home run and two RBI in the win (2/9)… Had a 3-for-3 day on the next day against Purdue Fort Wayne with a home run, adding an RBI and three runs scored (2/11)… Went 3-for-4 against No. 5 Oklahoma State with a double and RBI (2/17)… Had a triple and home run in the win over Texas Southern with two RBI (2/25)… Went 3-for-4 in the game three win over NC State with an RBI (3/5)… Hit a home run in three straight games against Mount St. Mary’s (3/7), Gardner-Webb (3/8) and North Carolina (3/10), all wins for the Hokies… Recorded four RBI in the game two win over Georgia Tech, going 2-for-3 for two doubles (3/18)… Hit two home runs in the game three win over No. 14 Duke, going 2-for-2 with four RBI and three runs scored (4/2)… Went 4-for-4 against Longwood in game one with three doubles, tying the school record for doubles hit in a game, adding four RBI (4/4)… Followed that up with a home run and two RBI in game two… Recorded a season-high five RBI against Radford, going 2-for-3 with a home run (4/18)… Had an important RBI in the game two win over Clemson with a hit (4/29)… Went 3-for-4 in game one of the Athens Regional against Boston U. with two RBI (5/19)… Against No. 14 Georgia, had a three-run home run in game one (5/20)… Hit another home run in the second game against Boston U., going 2-for-2 with an RBI (5/20).

2022: Started in 54 games for the Hokies in the outfield ... Led the team with a .400 average, along with a 1.135 OPS and .661 slugging ... Registered a team-high 66 hits, including 11 doubles, four triples (team-high) and 8 home runs ... Ended the season with 40 RBI and a .474 on base percentage ... Was the team leader in stolen bases with 23 on 25 attempts ... One of the toughest batters to strikeout in Division I, striking out only six times in 165 at bats ... Went 3-for-3 in the game two win over No. 14 Clemson, scoring three runs and adding an RBI ... Had back-to-back games against East Tennessee State and Syracuse where she registered four RBI (3/9, 3/11) ... Went 2-for-4 in the game two win over No. 2 Florida State, scoring two runs and two RBI ... Went 3-for-3 against Boston College to help clinch the ACC Regular Season, with three RBI, a home run and two stolen bases ... Helped lead the Hokies to a game on win over No. 12 Florida, going 3-for-3 with two home runs and two RBI.

2021: Appeared in 48 games, starting 37 in the outfield… Scored a run in Game 1 at UCLA in the Los Angeles Super Regional… Recorded a hit in every game in the Tempe Regional, including a double vs. BYU (5/22), drove in a run and scored one on the weekend… Smacked an RBI triple in her first ACC Tournament game vs. Notre Dame (5/13)… Hit a two-run double to straightaway center field in Game 1 of the series against Georgia Tech (4/16)… Scored two runs and was hit by a pitch vs. Longwood (4/7)… Hit a game-winning, two-run home run in the eighth inning at No. 12/14 Duke (4/3)… Hit an RBI double to right field, scored a run, was hit by a pitch and stole a base at Virginia (3/30)… Scored a career-high two runs after drawing a career-high two walks in Game 4 at NC State (3/14).
 
High School: Four-year letterwinner … Coached by Sherry Hudson at John Carroll High School … Played travel ball for Rock Gold Wave and was coached by Rick Wave … Four-time all-conference, all-region and all-Metro picks … Two-time Varsity Sports Network player of the year … Led John Carroll to a state championship her freshman year and would later bring them back to the title game her junior season … Known as a speedster, led the team in stolen bases … Led her travel ball team, Rock Gold Wave, to winning USA Gold Nationals in 2018 … And followed it up with a fourth-place finish at the JO Cup in 2019 … Led the team in batting average all four years for travel ball … Also played volleyball and ran track, breaking the school record in the 45-meter sprint while also competing in the jumps and shot put … Chose the Hokies over Kentucky and USF.

Personal: Emma Grace Ritter … Born Dec. 18, 2001 … Daughter of Jeff and Jamee Ritter … Sister of Jake and Hunter … Her brother, Hunter, won state three times in wrestling in Maryland in high school and would place third at the 2018 Big Ten Championships with Wisconsin, while he now currently competes at Minnesota … Planning on majoring in human development and family studies, with the hopes of becoming a sport psychologist.
