Virginia Tech Softball

Our Program

Tech has qualified for 14 NCAA Tournaments and advanced to its program-record sixth straight NCAA Regional in 2025. The Hokies have moved on to three Super Regionals and one Women's College World Series.

At Virginia Tech, we compete in one of the most competitive softball conferences - the ACC.

In 2025, a league-record nine ACC teams earned bids to the postseason tournament.

An Unforgettable 2025

The Hokies shined in 2025 as they were ranked in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll every single week. With their third 40-win season in the past four years, the Hokies advanced to a program-record sixth straight NCAA Regional.

Tech won 10 games against ranked opponents and at one point won 17 straight games – the longest win streak in Division I at the time. The Hokies also earned six NFCA Mid-Atlantic selections.

Tech's seven All-ACC selections were tied for the most among ACC schools and the Hokies were highlighted by ACC Player of the Year Cori McMillan.

McMillan led the country with 31 home runs – shattering the single-season program record of 21 that she set last season. She was one of just nine players in NCAA history to hit 31 home runs in a single season.

McMillan was joined by Michelle Chatfield as an All-ACC First Team selection. Kylie Aldridge earned Second Team honors, and Emma Lemley, Jordan Lynch, Emma Mazzarone and Zoe Yaeger garnered Third Team.
