High School: Lettered three times at James River High School for Coach John Shotwell, leading them to consecutive state titles ... Played one season at Allegheny High before transferring to James River ... Had 47 career wins, over 900 strikeouts and 23 career no-hitters ... A two-time first-team all-state selection ... Went 22-2 her senior season, earning state co-pitcher of the year honors from the VHSCA ...
