• Backed up the defensive line, recording a 9-yard solo sack on a third down play at No. 24 NC State (Oct. 27).
• Assisted on a tackle and was credited with a quarterback hurry against Miami (Oct. 15).
• Set career highs in tackles (six, two solo) and TFL (2.5, 4 yards) at Pitt (Oct. 8).
• Made a 1-yard solo TFL at North Carolina (Oct. 1).
• Made three tackles (two solo) against West Virginia (Sept. 22).
• Registered three tackles (two solo) against Wofford (Sept. 17).

2019: Played in 12 games, registering 19 tackles, 3.5 TFL and 2.5 sacks ... Recorded a career-high four tackles and got his first career sack and TFL vs ODU (9/7) … Had 1.0 TFL vs. Furman (9/14) .. Posted three tackles and 0.5 TFL vs. Duke (9/28) … Had three tackles, a career-high 1.5 sacks and recovered a fumble at Miami (10/5) … Did not play vs. Wake Forest (11/9) … Had three tackles and 0.5 TFL vs. Pitt (11/23) … Recovered a fumble and had two tackles in the Belk Bowl vs. Kentucky (12/31).

High School: Played for head coach John Reid at Rome High School … First-team 5A All-State by the Georgia Sportswriters … Honorable Mention 5A All-State by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution … Helped lead Rome to the 2016 5A state championship, the first in school history … Finished with 87 tackles, 17 TFLs, two picks, three forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown as a senior.
 
Personal: Son of Tyrone and Labretha Griffin … Has three brothers; Ja’Kolbi, Ja’Quon and Jamious, and one sister, Breana … Earned his degree in human development in 2021 ... Studying human development.
