John Iezzi (pronounced YET-zee) enters his third season working on a full-time basis in player personnel for the Hokies. He previously served as director of on-campus recruiting, assistant director of player personnel and spent two seasons as a graduate assistant in recruiting after working as a student recruiting assistant during his senior year at Virginia Tech.

He is responsible for all aspects of the recruiting process including player evaluation, hosting and planning official/unofficial visits and managing Tech's prospect database.

Iezzi helped the Hokies bring in top 25 recruiting classes in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

During his time as an undergraduate, Iezzi worked as a baseball advisor for Caradonna Sports and Entertainment for three years, a grassroots firm that he founded with two other individuals to assist in the representation of 11 minor league baseball players. He also spent two years covering Virginia Tech football and basketball for 247sports.com during this time as well.

The Richmond, Virginia native is a graduate of Deep Run High School and earned a degree from Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business in finance in 2015.
