Caleb Gelsomino is in his first season as an offensive graduate assistant at Virginia Tech. He came to Blacksburg after serving as an assistant coach for four seasons at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Gelsomino coached quarterbacks and was the passing game coordinator his final two seasons and spent his first two years coaching the Pioneer running backs.
Gelsomino spent the 2013 season at Bridgewater State University, coaching the MASCAC’s First-Team All-Conference quarterback and serving as offensive film coordinator. He’s also worked with the New England Patriots in 2013 as a football operations intern, assisting in numerous aspects of the day-to-day operations.
As a student-athlete, Gelsomino played two seasons at Bridgewater State, helping the team to 17 wins and twice earned MASCAC All-Academic honors. As a senior, the squad went 9-2 and earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament
