A Talk With... In what way do you want to be remembered when you leave Virginia Tech? I want to be remembered as a disrupter and playmaker and someone that everyone respected on the field. What are your expectations for your senior season? To be better - for our team to have another winning season and for me just to cause havoc and be a disrupter. It has to be Halloween on every play. What has been your best sports experience at Virginia Tech? Winning the ACC Championship in the Orange Bowl. It's a tough place to play. The Orange Bowl is a place where we have fought some battles and won some. To go in there and win the title the first year in the league was a great moment. What player do you see really stepping up and surprising people this year? I want to see Carlton Powell step up and shock people. He has some big shoes to fill after Jim Davis left. I think he is one of the players who will step up to the challenge. What is one thing that many people would be surprised to know about you? I like to freestyle and rap. How do you get ready for a game? Basically I just stay calm and relaxed and think about things like my family and close friends around me. If you were on SportsCenter making a play, who would it be against and how would the play develop? A game-winning sack. The ball would be on the 5-yard line and he'd drop back to pass and I'd get into the backfield and sack him. It would have to be against Virginia. If you had to listen to one song on repeat for the rest of your life, what would it be? "Pain" by Tupac Shakur. What is the best part of a Virginia Tech home game? It has to be the fans. How special was it to get to play with your brother in college? It was real special. We had good, fond memories together. The memories will never stop for us. Being able to play football together was wonderful. I really enjoyed it. Who was the toughest tackle in your career? It would have to be anyone from Boston College. They have a great line. Other than Lane Stadium, what is your favorite place to go and how does it compare to Lane? The Orange Bowl. It's usually cold in Blacksburg and it's warm there. Also, there are a lot of celebrities there and a lot of things are going on before and during the game. Who would play Jonathan Lewis in a movie? Denzel Washington or Jamie Foxx because they are award winners. What are you going to miss the most after you leave Virginia Tech? The camaraderie of the guys. Everyone will give it up for you on every play and do anything for you - on or off the field.

2004: Played in and started all 13 games, recording 18 solo stops and 22 assists ... Included in those 40 tackles were 11.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks ... Also had two fumble recoveries, one pass break up and 14 quarterback hurries ... Played 434 snaps on defense and five on special teams in the regular season ... Played 31 snaps against Western Michigan, registering a fumble recovery ... Played his best game against West Virginia, recording seven tackles, including 1.5 for loss ... Had five total tackles at Wake Forest ... Included in those five stops were three tackles for loss, including two sacks ... Had three tackles, including two for loss and a sack, in the win over Maryland ... Had two tackles and a fumble recovery against Virginia ... Broke his finger in that game and was slowed for the Miami game ... Still started, and had two tackles, both for losses, against the Hurricanes ... Also had a sack ... Posted a 340-pound bench, a 600-pound back squat, a 326-pound power clean and a 370-pound push jerk in spring testing ...

2003: Played in and started all 13 games ... Tallied 36 solo tackles and 33 assists ... Included in those 69 stops were seven tackles for loss, including four sacks ... Registered six quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles, one pass break up and an interception ... Played 40 snaps against Texas A&M, recording four solo tackles, five assists and a quarterback hurry ... Recorded his first collegiate interception at Rutgers, coming off a pass tipped by Nathaniel Adibi ... Also tallied three solo tackles, two assists and two passes broken up ...
