A big, strong defensive tackle with a lot of raw ability ... Sat out the 2002 season after transferring to Tech from North Carolina ... Suffered a setback when he was injured after just six practices in the spring ... Had to sit out six weeks with a strained MCL in his left knee ... Was back to full speed by the end of the school year ... Has seen only a limited amount of playing time on the collegiate level ... Was redshirted his first year at UNC and just saw brief action as a reserve during the 2001 season ... Showed flashes of his ability while practicing with the Hokies ... Must concentrate on improving his fundamentals and his ability to get off blocks ... Combines a good work ethic with a desire to succeed ...
