Dugan Andrews begins his third season with the Virginia Tech baseball team as a student manager after joining the staff in the fall of 2021. As a student manager, he assists Cam Davis, director of baseball operations, in game day and day-to-day functions. He also assists in the digital scouting of the team by stringing and tagging pitches and hits on the TrackMan data software system.
Residing from Hillsborough, North Carolina, Andrews attended Eno River Academy where he was a member of the basketball and baseball teams. During the 2023 summer, he worked with the Florence Y’Alls of the Frontier League before returning to Blacksburg. As a senior at Virginia Tech, Andrews plans to graduate in December, 2024 with a degree in management. After graduation, he aspires to work in the scouting department of a major league baseball team. His favorite professional baseball team is the Miami Marlins. Andrews is the son of Nathan and Karrie Andrews, and has one sister, Jinkie Andrews.
