• Season Notes:  Played in 28 games, making 11 starts (seven at second base) … Batted .261 while recording 46 at-bats … Registered 12 hits, including five doubles and a home run, slugging .435 … Scored eight runs and totaled three RBIs … Drew 13 walks, achieving a .424 on-base percentage … Stole one base on three attempts … Sported a .957 fielding percentage at second base.

Summer Ball
• 2021 (Bethesda Big Train, Coastal Plains League):  Batted .268 and recorded a .456 on-base percentage … Scored 12 runs across 16 games and swiped four bases.

High School
• Graduated from Amherst County High School (Amherst, Virginia) as a top-50 student in the Class of 2021 … Earned his diploma with honors and his associate’s degree … Golden A Trophy recipient for GPA achievement.
• Four-year varsity shortstop at Amherst County under coach John Apperson.
• Career statistics:  Recorded a .487 batting average, 60 runs scored, 83 hits, nine home runs, 50 RBIs and 50 stolen bases … Led the Lancers in batting average, hits, home runs and stolen bases all four varsity seasons.
• 2021:  The News & Advance All-Area Baseball Player of the Year … Seminole District Player of the Year … Offensively, registered a .563 batting average and a .729 on-base percentage with 16 runs scored, eight RBIs and 12 stolen bases … On the mound, posted a 2-1 record with four saves, allowed one earned run — during the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Region 4D semifinals against Jefferson Forest — walked 12 and struck out 18 across 13 and two-thirds innings with a .095 opposing batting average.
• 2019:  VHSL Class 4 All-State First Team (DH).
• Competed on the Amherst County wrestling team.

• Born Jan. 16, 2003, in Lynchburg, Virginia … Son to Peter and Julie Martin … Has three older siblings: Kayla, Cameron and Carter.
• Interested in studying marketing management at Virginia Tech with aspirations of pursuing greatness.
• Chose to attend Virginia Tech ahead of Duke, Liberty, Virginia and VCU.
