A three-year starter who has seen duty in left and right field ... Finds himself in the middle of a competitive battle for outfield spots this spring ... Coaches are looking for him to supply senior leadership and to be a productive offensive player ... A key to his success will be limiting his strikeouts ... Showed signs of doing that - along with hitting for average and power - during a good summer stint in the Valley League ... Continued to build on that success during fall practice ... 2006-07: Picked up 24 starts in right field, 17 starts in left field and seven starts as the designated hitter ... Batted .260 with 24 runs batted in ... Posted seven doubles and four home runs ... Stole five bases in six attempts ... Had two hits against both ODU and Pitt ... Drove in a pair of runs and scored one against the Panthers ... Scored twice against Coastal ... Picked up two hits against Albany, including a solo homer to center field ... Had a big hand in the win over UNC Asheville with two hits and two runs batted in ... Also threw out a runner at the plate and made a terrific catch in foul territory ... Remained in the game after hitting the wall on that catch, but missed the Minnesota and first A&T games ... Singled, walked twice and scored a run in game three against A&T ... Hit a two-run homer at VCU ... Homered in game two at Georgia Tech ... Beat out a two-out infield single in the bottom of ninth to drive in the tying run in the game three win over GT ... Collected three hits and scored three runs against Marist ... Homered in that game ... Posted three hits in a win at NC State ... Had two hits in the first UNC game ... Doubled twice and drove in two runs at JMU ... Scored two runs against VMI ... Drove in a run in game one with Clemson ... Had a hit and an RBI in each of the last two games with FSU ... Started all three games against Miami in left field ... 2005-06: Started 50 games in right field ... Batted .265 with 14 doubles, two triples and six home runs ... Drove in 29 runs and scored 31 ... Scored two runs in the second game at Campbell ... Hit his first homer of the season against Wilmington ... Posted a key two-run homer in win against East Carolina ... Was 3-for-3 against Charlotte with two doubles ... Homered twice and drove in four runs in final Towson game ... Had a pair of hits in Tech's opening game at Miami ... Contributed two hits, including a double, during loss at JMU ... Picked up just two hits in three-game series with FSU ... Posted two hits in opener against Boston College, including his fifth homer of the year ... Struggled through a 6-for-37 stretch (.162) ... Then went 11-for-29 (.379) over the next eight games ... Tripled and drove in five runs at Radford ... Had three RBIs and two runs scored in first Georgia Tech game ... Shook off a 1-for-16 slide with a 2-for-3 game against Duke that included three runs scored, two walks, an RBI and a double ... Was 1-for-9 at Clemson ... 2004-05: Got off to a fast start, hitting safely in 15 of his first 17 games ... Registered multiple hits in six of his first nine collegiate games ... Played in 48 games, starting 43 in right field and two as the DH ... Doubled against Villanova in his first collegiate at bat ... Singled and scored in the 10th inning of Tech's 7-5 win at High Point ... Drove in Tech's first-ever run in ACC competition with a sixth-inning single at Maryland ... Had seven hits and seven RBIs during the three-game series ... Went 3-for-5 in the final game with two home runs, a double, five RBIs, four runs scored and a stolen base ... Went 3-for-4 with an RBI, a run and a stolen base at Radford ... Was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored vs. UVa ... Had a two-run triple in JMU game ... Missed some time after hitting a wall at NCSU while attempting a diving catch ...Belted a three-run homer in final Miami game ... Posted three hits and two RBIs in home game against VCU ... Had a team-leading 17 RBIs in ACC games, but batted just .221 in conference games ... Finished with a .275 overall average ... Was second on the team in home runs (5) and runs batted in (30) ...
