Pitched well in a starting role during the summer for the Bethesda Big Train in the Clark Griffith Collegiate Baseball League ... Developed a sore shoulder during the fall ... Took some time off and will be evaluated during the preseason ... Is expected to return to the bullpen where he has a chance to fill a valuable role for the Hokies this spring ... 2003-04: Appeared in 10 games, including a start at East Tennessee State ... Finished with a 1-0 record and a 4.35 earned run average ... Pitched 20.2 innings ... Six of the 10 earned runs he allowed came in an outing at Wake Forest ...
