In 2007, earned all-prep, all-state and all-metro honors in both baseball and soccer, while being named to the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association First Team on the diamond ... Also played on the Virginia Prep League basketball championship team ... Batted .449 with six doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 21 runs batted in as a senior, after hitting .500 as a junior ... Prior to moving to Richmond, played two seasons in all three sports at Garfield High School in Seattle, Wash. ... His soccer teams in 2005 and 2006 won state titles, and he once earned regional All-America honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
