Career Highlights: Became the first freshman at Tech to win a Game 1 ACC start, the third freshman pitcher with two ACC wins as a starter (Justin Wright, 2008; Mathew Price, 2009) and third freshman pitcher since the Hokies joined the ACC with three overall wins as a starter against any opponent (Price and Joe Mantiply, 2010) ... Is 12th Tech pitcher to strike out at least 10 batters in an ACC game and the first to do it as a freshman (vs. Pittsburgh, March 10, 2018) - last freshman with 10 Ks was Pat Pinkman, who struck out at least 10 three times in 1998 including a season-high 12 versus Liberty ... Set freshman records in ACC-only games for innings pitched (51.2) and strikeouts (50) passing Price (48.2 and 41) ... Just the sixth pitcher overall to reach 50 strikeouts in ACC play ... Also, became first freshman to lead team in ERA overall (4.17) and in ACC-only (3.83) - last freshman to lead the team in overall ERA was Joe Saunders (3.92 in 2000) ... Took a no-hitter the furthest ever for a Tech pitcher in an ACC game, tossing 8.1 innings before allowing an infield single in the ninth against No. 8 North Carolina (March 22, 2019) ... The latest prior to the 2019 season was Packy Naughton's 5.2 innings of perfect baseball versus Boston College (May 3, 2015) ... It was the second no-hitter in his Tech career taken into the sixth inning (vs. Kansas State, Feb. 19, 2018) ... Became just the fourth Tech pitcher with 11 or more strikeouts in an ACC game after his 11-K performance at Miami (April 26, 2019) ... Is the fifth Tech pitcher to strike out at least 10 ACC hitters in two games in a career ... His 81 strikeouts in 2019 were the fourth-most ever for a Tech pitcher since 2005, when the team joined the ACC, while his 65 strikeouts in league play are second only to Marc Zecchino's 70 (2011) ... Seymour is the only Tech pitcher to reach 50 strikeouts in more than one ACC season ... In 2020, became the first Tech pitcher since 2002 to post four career games with 10 or more strikeouts, to have three games all-time with 10 or more strikeouts against ACC opponents and set the school record for strikeouts in an ACC regular season game with 14 at No. 29 Georgia Tech (March 8) in just 6.0 innings ... Was closing in on becoming the first junior at the school to reach 200 career strikeouts (currently at 191) since Justin Wright finished his junior season with 216 (2008-10) ... On pace to surpass Wright and challenge the school record for strikeouts in a three-year career set by Joe Saunders (2000-02) with 255.

Record Book Notes: Ended the 2020 season in the top seven in six categories (since Tech joined the ACC in 2005), including first in strikeouts per nine innings (10.77), third in lowest opponents batting average (.243), sixth in strikeouts (191) and lowest ERA (3.83), and seventh in starts (30) and most pickoffs (5).

2020: Started all four games appeared in, tied for the most on the team, and recorded a team-best two quality starts … Finished with a 2.21 ERA in 20.1 innings pitched and struck out a team-high 40 batters, walked five and posted a 3-0 record (most wins on the team) with one combined shutout - at Louisiana (Feb. 23), tossing the first six frames … Also won games versus ETSU (Feb. 18) and Bryant (March 1) ... Tossed a season-high 6.0 innings twice, at Louisiana and at No. 29 Georgia Tech (a game in which he struck out a school record, in an ACC regular season game, 14 Yellow Jackets) … Led the team with four multi-K outings with at least six in each, including 11 Ragin' Cajuns and nine Bulldogs … Struck out the side six times during the year … Held opponents to a .181 batting average, second on the team among pitchers with at least 4.0 innings thrown ... Pitched a total of 16 scoreless innings, including a 11.1 consecutive … Also, threw eight perfect frames (first) and, at one point, retired 10 straight batters (first) … Had one double play turned behind him, a strikeout-caught stealing, and also picked off one baserunner … In the NCAA, finished the year ranked in six categories - fourth in strikeouts per nine innings (17.70), 18th in strikeouts, 23rd in wins, tied for 29th in starts, 51st in strikeout-to-walk ratio (8.00) and 101st in WHIP (0.89).

2019: Started a team-high 13 games and recorded a team-best four quality starts … Finished with a 3.97 ERA, while also leading the team in innings pitched (70.1) and strikeouts (81), walked 24 and posted a 4-5 record (tied for team-lead in wins) with one complete game and one combined shutout … Picked up wins at Stetson (Feb. 15), versus UNC Greensboro, at Pittsburgh (March 15) and against North Carolina (March 22) ... Tossed a career-high 9.0 innings in a complete game against the Tar Heels, and shared in a 5-0 shutout at Stetson … Led the team with 13 multi-K outings, including 10 games with at least five, two games with eight and a career-high 11-strikeout performance at Miami (April 26) … Struck out the side four times during the year (T-first) … Pitched a total of 51 scoreless innings (first), including a 8.1 consecutive … Also, threw 23 perfect frames (first) and, at one point, retired 19 straight batters (first) … Had six double plays turned behind him, four were GDPs, and also picked off two baserunners … In the NCAA, at the end of the regular season, ranked 104th in strikeouts per nine innings (10.36), 109th in complete games, and 146th in strikeouts … Finished 97th in Ks/9 and 119th in complete games ... In the ACC, at the end of the regular season, ranked tied for third in complete games, ninth in strikeouts and 17th in overall ERA … In ACC-only games, finished tied for third in strikeouts (65) and complete games (1), tied for sixth in innings (57.1) and 15th in ERA (4.24) ... In the league at the end of the year, ranked fourth in doubles allowed per game (1.02), eighth in Ks/9, tied for eighth in runs allowed (36), 10th in innings pitch per game (5.41) and 19th in ERA.

2018: Appeared in 14 games, making a team-high tying 13 starts on the mound, which included a team-best six quality starts … Made collegiate debut in only relief outing of the year versus Coastal Carolina (Feb. 16) ... Had a team-best 4.17 ERA in 69.0 innings pitched (second), struck out 70 batters (second), walked 29 and posted a 3-3 record … Picked up wins over Ball State (Feb. 24), Pittsburgh (March 10) and Notre Dame (April 20) … Also led the team in opposing bating average at .244 ... Tossed a season-high 7.0 innings four times and worked at least 5.0 in nine of his starts ... Inherited one runner, which scored … Was 1-for-1 in retiring first batter faced in relief outing … Struck out a season-high 10 batters once – versus Pittsburgh – and struck out at least five eight times … Pitched a total of 55 scoreless innings (first), including a season-best 13.0 consecutive (second) … Also, threw 18 perfect frames (second), struck out the side five times (tied first) and, at one point, retired a season-high 15 straight batters (tied second) … Had seven double plays turned behind him, four were GDPs ... High School: Earned varsity letters for three seasons while playing for coach Charles Eppinger at St. John’s ... During senior season, went 4-0 with a 0.48 ERA on the mound to help the Pioneers to the Division 1A Super 8 State Championship as well as earning the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association 2017 Super 8 MVP award … Was a three-time All-State player while compiling a career .380 batting average with 52 RBI in his time at the plate … On the mound, was 4-1 as a junior and 6-0 as a sophomore … Also made Headmaster’s List all 16 quarters and was second in his graduating class.
