LUBBOCK, Texas - The Virginia Tech track & field sprints and hurdles event group made their way to Texas Tech for the 2025 Red Raider Invite on January 24. At the meet, the Hokies boasted three program top-10 performances and shattered the ACC and program record in the men's 4x400m.
In the final event of the day, the men's 4x400m, Tomas Kersulis, Kahleje Tillmon, Ali Diaby and Judson Lincoln IV teamed up to etch their name in program and ACC history as record holders. The quad boasted a 3:03.99 mark, breaking the program record by 1.50 seconds and the ACC record by 0.29. The feat was delivered with gusto as Lincoln IV anchored the relay with a 44.84 second 400m, a split that if it had been run individually, would also be a program and ACC record. The 3:03.99 placed the group fourth, currently, in the NCAA for the 2025 indoor season. Both Lincoln IV and Diaby are members of the previous record-holding relay, which also featured Kennedy Harrison and Cole Beck.
All four members of the relay also competed in the 200m, just an hour prior to the 4x400m. Lincoln IV elevated his standing in the program's top-10 performers list with his career-best 20.70 result while Kahleje Tillmon shifted up drastically from the T-No. 10 slot to the No. 6 slot with his career-best of 21.03.
Maximus James also traveled with the squad to Lubbock, where he competed in the 400m, finishing 10th overall with a 48.93.
Caitlyn Bobb was the third Hokie to place her name in the top-10 performers list, boasting a 23.95 in the 200m that tied her career-best. The performance landed her in the No. 9 spot on the Virginia Tech top performers list for the event.
