  • Sunday, Feb. 23: Orange Effect

Hokie Effect is a program through the Undergraduate Student Senate (USS) that designs and sells spirit shirts for football and basketball games at Virginia Tech. The Hokie Effect games encourage fans to wear a certain color in order to show school spirit and create a blanketed color effect throughout the stadium. The best way to do this is to wear the Hokie Effect t-shirt designed specifically for that game.

The purchase of a single Hokie Effect shirt helps fund student-athlete initiatives, undergraduate student government, and for the 2024-25 academic years, the Student Emergency Fund.

In an effort to reduce touch-points and increase the speed of service, all concession stands and ticket sales in Cassell Coliseum are cashless. Those who do not have credit cards, debit cards, etc. may purchase a gift card (at $25, $50, $100, $200 denominations) in the bookstore location outside Section 116. In addition, there are no ATMs in Cassell Coliseum.

Virginia Tech Athletics offers group tickets to any groups of 10 or more who would like to attend ticketed events in Blacksburg (while supplies last). Depending on group size and wishes, the athletic department can create memorable and unique experiences such as prize packs, and more. Group leaders have the opportunity to work with a dedicated account executive to assist with obtaining tickets, planning and gameday experiences. Group packages are selling fast so group leaders are encouraged to act quickly. Click here to be contacted about your group.

Cassell Coliseum transitioned to a mobile-first venue for ticketing prior to the 2021 season. The new and improved HokieSports mobile app and My Account portal provides fans with an easy way to manage tickets and includes an additional level of security, guarding against fraudulent and counterfeit tickets. Additionally, season ticket holders can now add their entire season ticket to your phone's wallet by only needing to download one ticket for each seat on your account with the all-in-1 pass.

Visit HokieSports.com/MobileTickets for more information.

As part of Virginia Tech's commitment to ensuring the safety of and providing a secure environment for all attendees, walk-through metal detectors will be implemented at all Virginia Tech sporting events. For more information click here.

All fans are asked to comply with Virginia Tech Athletics' Clear Bag Policy, which allows for a better and quicker experience at doors and serves as a public safety measure. The policy is available here for fans prior to visiting Cassell Coliseum.

On-campus parking is metered until 10 p.m., Monday-Friday. Visitors should pay for parking within these hours via the ParkMobile app or the Parking Services office online or in-person during business hours. Lots 1, 4 & 8 require a parking pass.
