Twenty-seven Hokies make All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Over two dozen members of the Virginia Tech men's and women's swimming and diving teams were honored as All-ACC Academic Team members for the 2022-23 season, the league announced Wednesday. On the women's side, 16 Hokies were selected for the team and 11 Hokies earned a spot on the men's team.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, all members selected for the team must have competed at ACC Championships, NCAA Championships or both.

The Hokies have multiple athletes who received this honor in previous years. Sarah Shackelford and Forest Webb will earn their third All-ACC Academic honor along with Keith Myburgh and Karisa Franz earning their second. 

Shackelford and Myburgh were also named as Academic All-District Team members by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), announced at the beginning of March. Five other Hokies also earned CSC Academic All-District honors. Those student-athletes include Morgan Miller, Izzi Mroz, Joseph Hong, Will Koeppen and Cobi Lopez Miro
