With Virginia Tech football's first spring practice set for Thursday, there is plenty of excitement heading into Year 2 of the Brent Pry era.

From the team's Pro Day next week to an open practice later this month, take a look at some of the key dates during Tech's offseason leading into the Hokies' spring game on Saturday, April 15, presented by PMSI.

Monday, March 20 | Pro Day
Earlier this month, defensive back Chamarri Conner shined at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. He will look to keep that momentum going into Pro Day, where he will compete in drills with his fellow teammates to increase their draft stock ahead of the NFL Draft.

Saturday, March 25 | Open Practice
Season ticket holders and fans are invited to attend Tech's practice in Lane Stadium next Saturday. Gates open at 11:45 a.m. ET and admission is free. Last year marked Tech's first open practice to fans in quite some time and Hokie Nation enjoyed getting up close and personal with the Hokies.

Saturday, April 15 | Spring Game
The Hokies will hold their annual Spring Game, presented by PMSI, in Lane Stadium on Saturday, April 15 at 3 p.m. More specifics about that day's events will be released when finalized. Join the interest list and be the first to know when additional details are made available.

Registration is also now open for Virginia Tech's annual 3.2-mile Run in Remembrance, which will take place that Saturday, April 15. The event will begin with a moment of silence at 9 a.m. to honor and remember the lives of the 32 students and faculty who were tragically taken from us in 2007. The event's 3.2-mile loop around the Blacksburg campus begins and ends on the Virginia Tech Drillfield near the April 16 Memorial and passes by landmarks such as the Duck Pond, the Grove, the Virginia Tech Pylons and will take runners and walkers through Lane Stadium.

April 27-29 | NFL Draft
The 2023 NFL Draft will take place in Kansas City with a few Hokies expecting to hear their names called as they take the next step in their football journey. The first round begins at 8 p.m. on NFL Network, ABC and ESPN.

Last April, Tech had four players selected in the NFL Draft, including tight end James Mitchell (Lions, fifth round), defensive lineman Amaré Barno (Panthers, sixth round), offensive lineman Luke Tenuta (Bills, sixth round) and offensive lineman Lecitus Smith (Cardinals, sixth round).

Thursday, May 25 | 100 Days to Kickoff
The Hokies open their 2023 campaign against Old Dominion in Blacksburg on Saturday, Sept. 2. The countdown to kickoff officially begins on Thursday, May 25, as that date marks 100 days to Tech's season opener.
