Hokies finish day three with fourteen Top 25 times

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Day three of the Ohio State Invitational has concluded and the Hokies are headed back to Blacksburg. Virginia Tech proved to be a tough competitor against ranked opponents during the three-day event. Both the men's and women's teams had swimmers finishing with their fastest times of the season. Out of ten teams, the men's team finished third overall, behind No. 6 Indiana and No. 11 Ohio State. The women's team finished sixth overall.

HEAD COACH SERGIO LOPEZ MIRO
"I'm very happy with the way the team fought. We competed against some of the top teams in the country. I feel very good with how we swam with the little rest that we had. We still have a lot of work to do, but we had some really good times and are walking away some really strong performances. The divers did an excellent job, as well. It was a great three-day week for us. I think I can speak for all the coaches when I say we are very pleased with how we competed and kept up the energy. I'm very proud of our Hokies."
