Scoring Streak
The seven points scored against the Panthers mark the 339th consecutive game Virginia Tech has scored, which is the third-longest active streak in the nation among FBS schools. It's also the fifth-longest streak in FBS history. The last time the Hokies were shutout was Sept. 16, 1995 versus Cincinnati.

We're Going Streaking
Thanks to a missed PAT attempt by Georgia's Jack Podlesney in the fourth quarter against Kentucky, Virginia Tech now has the nation's longest active streak of made PAT kicks at 221. The streak started on Oct. 20, 2016 with a Joey Slye PAT in the second quarter against Miami. Slye, Brian Johnson, Jordan Stout, and John Parker Romo have all contributed to the streak. The last miss by a Hokie was Oct. 16, 2016 against Syracuse when Slye's kick was blocked in the third quarter in the Carrier Dome.
Homecoming
Saturday marked the 94th homecoming game and the Hokies are now 68-22-4 (74.5%) on the annual event. The first homecoming game was played on Oct. 23, 1926, a 6-0 win over Virginia.
Uniform Tracker
The Hokies wore white helmet, maroon jerseys, and white pants for the first time this season. It was the sixth different uniform combination of the year.
