Hokies set for 2021 Men's NCAA Championships

BLACKSBURG – The No. 10 Virginia Tech Men's Swim and Dive team will have 12 athletes compete in the 2021 Men's NCAA Championships March 24-27 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC.

COMPETING FOR THE HOKIES
Coming off an overall third place finish at ACCs, the Hokies have 10 athletes competing in individual events over the course of the meet.
 
Youssef Ramadan  (50 FR, 100 FL, 100 FR)
Ramadan is the No. 1 seed in the 100 fly, coming off his record breaking performance at ACCs. He swam the fastest 100 fly time a freshman has ever swam in NCAA history at 44.32. The freshman will also be competing in three relays for the Hokies.
 
Blake Manoff (100 FL, 200 FLY, 200 FR)
Manoff placed second in the 200 free at ACCs in February with a time of 1:32.63, the seventh best time coming into NCAAs. Manoff holds the current school record in the 200 free. The junior placed fifth in the 100 fly at ACCs at 45.50. Manoff will be competing in four relays for the Hokies.
 
Carles Coll Marti (200 IM, 200 BR)
Coll Marti swam a time of 1:43.47 in the 200 IM placing second at ACCs. His current time holds the school record and sits at No. 18 coming into NCAAs. The freshman placed seventh at ACCs in the 200 breast with a time of 1:53.21. Along with his individual events, Coll Marti will be competing in three relays for the Hokies.
 
Antani Ivanov (500 FR, 100 FL, 200 FL)
Ivanov earned five medals at the 2021 ACC Championships, including a second place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 1:39.82,  breaking the school record. The junior placed third in the 100 fly and has the ninth fastest time going into NCAAs at 45.21. Ivanov will be competing in four relays for the Hokies.
 
Filippo Dal Maso (400 IM)
Dal Maso finished seventh in the 400 IM at ACCs with a time of 3:45.45. The junior has the second fastest time in school history in the event.
 
Dylan Eichberg (200 FL)
The junior finished fifth overall at ACCs in the 200 fly. Eichberg swam the second best time in school history at 1:42.14.
 
Thomas Hallock (50 FR)
Hallock swam a time of 19.48, finishing sixth place overall at ACCs in the 50 free. The senior will also be competing in the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay for the Hokies.
 
Keith Myburgh (400 IM)
Myburgh swam the fastest time in school history, earning him second place in the 400 IM at ACCs with a time of 3:43.45.
 
AJ Pouch (200 BR)
The sophomore broke the school record in the 200 breast at the UNC Last Chance Meet earlier this month with a time of 1:52.60. This is the eighth best time in the event going into NCAAs.
 
Sam Tornqvist (200BK)
Tornqvist holds the school record in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:41.11, a time he set at ACCs this season. The senior placed third overall in the event.
