Alum Cawley Bromley makes NC High School All-Decade Team

Cawley Bromley, a Virginia Tech attacker from 2012-15 was named to the N.C. High School All-Decade Team this month for her accomplishments at Apex. She led the school a state title her senior season in 2011, when she scored 52 goals and provided 55 assists on her way to earning U.S. Lacrosse All-American honors.
 
All told, she helped her team to three state championships and was named Championship MVP on two occasions. Bromley earned 2010 Conference Player of the Year honors, was a four-time First Team All-Conference honoree and was crowned the Raleigh News & Observer's Lacrosse Player of the Year twice.
 
At Tech, Bromley played in 57 contests, starting 21. Her senior season she started all 18 and had her best scoring total, registering 16 goals and 19 assists. She completed her career with 62 points.
 
Bromley made the ACC All-Academic Team in 2014.
 
Tech's director of player personnel Maggie Auslander was also included on the All-Decade Team. She played at Green Hope (class of 2013) where she led the Falcons to the 2013 state title, winning MVP honors. For her prep career, she recorded 208 goals, 107 assists, 219 ground balls, 135 caused turnovers, and 365 draw controls. 
 
Auslander went on to play at North Carolina where she played in 49 career games, and totaled 46 ground balls, 22 caused turnovers and 33 draw controls. Her Heels won three regular season ACC titles as well as two league tournament titles. In 2016, she was crowned a national champion.
 
Her 2017 season was memorable as she was a first team All-ACC performer as well as an All-ACC Academic team member and Academic All-American. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology. 
 
A 2017 graduate of North Carolina Chapel Hill, she most recently played for Durham University in Durham, England while she completed a master's program in the field of business management with a focus on human resources. While at Durham she served as a player coach, working with the defensive unit, ultimately leading the group to national title.
 
She was hired in August of 2019.
