BLACKSBURG – Senior Day for the No. 24/T22 Virginia Tech softball team will be unique, as the team will do an intrasquad scrimmage at noon ET on Saturday at Tech Softball Park.
The Hokies (45-8, 20-4 ACC) will split up into two teams, facing each other in a normal-type game. The seniors – catcher Lauren Duff, outfielder Kinsey Johnson, shortstop Caitlyn Nolan, outfielder Emma Strouth and catcher/first baseman Sierra Walton – plus a few others will be on one team (Orange) facing the rest of their teammates on the other squad (Maroon).
The pregame festivities will take place at 11:40 a.m., so fans who plan to attend should arrive there earlier to take in the videos, first pitches and more. After the game, the team will be awarded its ACC Coastal Division championship trophy.
Live stats will be available to follow along during the game, but there will be no broadcast.
