NCAA announces East Regional Qualifiers

NCAA Release EAST MEN QUALIFIERS East Women Qualifiers

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Twenty-five Hokies have qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds in Jacksonville, Florida on the campus of North Florida, as announced by the NCAA on Thursday afternoon.

The meet will take place from May 23-25 at Hodges Stadium, and FloTrack will stream all three days.

The distance group is the biggest of Tech's five disciplines to be represented at the meet, with eight student-athletes making the trek to the Sunshine State.

Six of Tech's gold medalists at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships qualified in their respective events for the NCAA East Preliminary Round, including Rachel Pocratsky (800/1,500), Miles Green (400 Hurdles), Bashir Mosavel-Lo (800), Jacory Patterson (400), Fitsum Seyoum (3,000 steeplechase)  and Deakin Volz (Pole Vault).

The other region, the NCAA West Preliminary, will be held at California State University in Sacramento, California. The qualifiers out of these two regions will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 5-8 in Austin, Texas.
