No. 10 Hokies welcome No. 4 Missouri to the Moss Arts Center

BLACKSBURG – No. 10 Virginia Tech is set to square off with No. 4 Missouri at the Moss Arts Center on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m. in what will be the highest ranked matchup ever held on the stage in Blacksburg. The event is sold out online but a limited number of walk up tickets will be made available at the door for $15.

The match can also be seen on the WatchESPN platform via HokieVision LIVE.

Missouri is the first top five team to come to Blacksburg since No. 2 Penn State when the Nittany Lions topped the Hokies 25-15 at Cassell Coliseum on Nov. 15, 2015. Virginia Tech is 5-0 all-time at the Moss Arts Center.

INSIDE THE MATCH

  • The Hokies are 0-2 all-time vs. Missouri with its first meetings coming on Dec. 18, 2004, a 33-6 loss.
  • The dual serves as a return trip for the Tigers, who defeated the Hokies, 23-19, in Columbia last season on Nov. 20, 2016.
  • Missouri and Virginia Tech finished fifth and sixth, respectively, at the 2017 NCAA Championships.

  • Fans could see ranked matchups at 133 pounds, 149 and 197.
  • No. 6 Solomon Chishko is 0-1 in his career vs. No. 19 Grant Leeth. Their lone matchup was a 10-4 decision during Chishko’s redshirt season on Jan. 24, 2015.
  • No.5 David McFadden will look to avenge a 9-2 decision to Connor Flynn on Jan. 29, 2016 when Flynn was with West Virginia.
