2017-18 (sophomore): All-ACC Second Team… NCAA Singles Qualifier… ITA Nationals Qualifier… ITA Atlantic Region Singles Champion… No. 52 Final ITA Singles… VaSID All-State First Team… Was 25-13 on the season, including 16-10 at the one during spring duals… Recorded six wins versus opponents ranked in the final ITA singles standings: No. 23 Carla Touly (#16 FSU), No. 35 Rosie Johanson (#23 UVA), No. 42 Sara Daavettila (#3 UNC), No. 78 Asiya Dair (#53 BC), No. 90 Chara Lommer (#21 Michigan), No. 96 Anna Rogers (#34 NC State)… Had the big 6-0, 6-4 win over No. 23 Touly in the Hokies’ 4-3 upset of No. 16 Florida State at the ACC Tournament… Claimed a needed singles point close 4-3 wins over No. 48 Old Dominion and No. 53 Boston College… Also had singles wins on court one against opponents from ranked teams: No. 34 NC State, No. 38 Clemson, No. 48 ODU, No. 53 BC, No. 66 Notre Dame and No. 68 Louisville (twice)… Had an impressive fall, competing at three ITA sponsored events… Won the Atlantic Regional, defeating opponents from George Washington, Liberty, Richmond, No. 48 ODU, No. 45 William & Mary to advance to the finals where she downed UVA’s No. 35 Johanson… Went 2-1 at the ITA National Fall Championships before falling to No. 11 Florida’s 16th-ranked Anna Danilina.
2016-17 (freshman): ITA Atlantic Region Player to Watch... All-ACC Third Team... Settled into the No. 2 singles midway through the season, finishing with a team best 18-5 mark... Finished the season ranked No. 99 by the ITA... Topped a total of three ranked opponents and finished the regular season winning six of her last eight matches in ACC play... Defeated her first ranked opponent of the year in Georgia Tech’s No. 71 Rasheeda McAdoo, besting her in a three-set tiebreaker to prevent the shutout… Claimed a three-set victory on court two over No. 25 N.C. State, helping Tech take down its first ranked opponent of the season at home... Fifteen of her 18 singles matches were won in straight sets… Teamed up with Sansitha Nandakumar and helped the Hokies knock off Clemson for the first time in 16 years with a 6-3 doubles victory on court three at the ITA Kickoff Weekend... Also collected a 5-7 doubles mark on court two with teammate Elena Cerezo-Codina... Competed in three of the team’s eight fall tournaments, recording eight singles victories and five doubles wins… Won two top-100 singles matchups… Tallied four-of-five singles wins in the main bracket at the ITA Atlantic Regionals, advancing to the semifinals… Advanced to the quarterfinals at the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic, picking up singles wins over Florida Gulf Coast and Notre Dame… Teamed up with Francesca Fusinato and advanced to the flight finals at the Hokie Fall Invitational... Also advanced to the semifinals in doubles play with Cerzo-Codina at the ITA Atlantic Regionals.
Before Tech: Ranked as high as No. 227 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) world juniors’ rankings and No. 976 in the World Tennis Association (WTA) polls … Was a finalist in four different ITF junior events … Qualified for the 2014 Australian Open Juniors, losing to Great Britain’s Isabelle Wallace, No. 37 in the world, in the second main draw … Achieved the highest rankings in both the junior and open divisions as a native of Czech Republic, checking in at No. 16 and No. 57, respectively.
