Responsibilities: Kaitie is a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer and coordinates all sports medicine needs for the Virginia Tech Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams.

At Virginia Tech: Kaitie was the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Virginia Tech Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams for the 2019-2020 academic year before transitioning to Swim & Dive.
Prior to Virginia Tech: Kaitie attended James Madison University for her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training where she graduated in May of 2019. While at JMU, she worked with JMU Track/Field & Cross Country, JMU Women’s Basketball, JMU Football, JMU Lacrosse, and Broadway High School. She volunteered at the Boston Marathon and Marine Corps Marathon, and completed a Sports Medicine study abroad program in Ireland. She served as VP of Outreach and Secretary of the Madison Athletic Training Student Association, and served as a student liaison of the VATA Student Affairs Committee. Kaitie was awarded the Aimee Gunnoe Outstanding Athletic Training Student Award during her senior year at JMU.

Of Note: Kaitie has been a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2019. She is a licensed athletic trainer by the Virginia Board of Health Professions. Kaitie holds a SafeSport Certification by the US Center for SafeSport.
Personal: Kaitie is from Rockbridge Baths, Virginia and currently resides in Blacksburg.
