Thompson on Lemon: Preston is one of the biggest fighters I have ever seen. Watching him play is like seeing a warrior enjoying every minute of a battle. He has tremendous heart and I think this asset alone will take him far in college tennis. I see Preston coming in and developing his skills a little and then using the tools he has to scratch his way into our line up. He has improved his serve and with a few other minor adjustments, I expect his game to really take off.Fall 2005: Did not see any action due to illness.
Junior Tennis/High School: Ranked fourth in the Mid-Atlantic region and a member of the 2005 Junior Davis Cup team ... Won two junior tournaments in Sweden ... Five year letterwinner and four-time team MVP for coach Deke Andrews at North Cross High School ... Four-time All-Timesland selection by The Roanoke Times ... Timesland Player of the Year as a sophomore.
