At Virginia Tech: Miguel has focused his time on football camps over the summer and is preparing for his first season with the football team.
Prior to Virginia Tech: Miguel attended Northern Illinois University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. While at NIU he worked with Football, Wrestling, Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, and Batavia High School athletics. In his final semester Miguel interned with the University of Tennessee to work with football.
Education: Northern Illinois University, 2021. (B.A., in Athletic Training.)
Of Note: Miguel is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association, and Illinois Athletic Trainers Association. He is apart of the Council for Early Career Athletic Trainers in the IATA. Miguel was a member of the IATA student congress before it transitioned to the CECAT. He also held the office of president in NIU’s student Athletic Training club.
Personal: Miguel is from Oswego Illinois and currently resides in Blacksburg Virginia. He enjoys hiking and likes to spend free time outside!
