• Chose Virginia Tech for its reputation, the level of competition offered, and to give him a platform to achieve his goals

PREP
• Competed with Ipswich Grammar School where he earned four letters
• Served as the team captain
• Is a three-time IGS Academic Excellence award winner (2013, 2015, 2016)
• Was within the top five percent of graduates in the state of Queensland, finishing with QCAA commendation for A’s in at least six subjects in his final year of school

CLUB
• Recently spent time with Brisbane Roar (A League) for three years
• Was part of the first team bench for the Australia Cup
• Signed to Western Pride NPL/FQPL for five years
• Played on the first team at just 16 years old and captained the junior team

PERSONAL
• Son of Christopher and Justine Blackledge
• Has a sister, Olivia
• Majoring in Economics
• Aspires to play soccer at the highest level
• Is a three-time Pan Pacific Champion
• Credits his parents for having the biggest influence on his career because they made sure he had a good balance between academics and sports
• Enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, going to the beach, and other sports/activities when not competing
• Takes time to travel and play board or card games in his free time off the pitch
