Nick Coughlin resumes his title of student manager with the Virginia Tech baseball team for a second season after starting in that role in 2022. As a student manager, he maintains a steady flow of operations for the team, fulfilling numerous tasks that include helping set up all equipment for the team to use during practice and pregame warmup, assists in laundry duties, and completes many other responsibilities for the team.
As a Leesburg, Virginia native, Coughlin roots for his home teams, the Washington Nationals and the Washington Commanders. He attended Loudoun County High School where he coached little league baseball for a local team. As a junior at Virginia Tech, he plans to graduate in June, 2025 with a degree in geography minor in geographic information systems. After graduation, Nick would like to work in law enforcement at the federal level or continue a career in baseball. He is the son of Matt and Kim Coughlin and has two brothers, Jake and Brett Coughlin. He plans to follow in the footsteps of both of his parents who graduated from Virginia Tech.
