Active MLB pitcher Adam Kolarek and former MLB pitcher Jeff Nelson also attended and played for the Catonsville Comets baseball team. At Virginia Tech, he plans to graduate in May, 2025 where he will receive his degree in sports media and analytics. After that, he would like to work as a beat reporter for the Baltimore Orioles or pursue a career in sports marketing for a major league baseball team. He is the son of James and Mini Huling, and has one sister, Charis Huling. As a Baltimore native, Huling is a fan of his home teams, the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens.
