CHARLOTTE – With basketball season inching closer, the ACC's annoual Tipoff event in Charlotte is set for October 5-7 featuring representatives from all 18 of the league's men's and women's programs. 

The Virginia Tech women's program will participate on Monday, Oct. 5 in the afternoon session. Megan Duffy, in her third year in Blacksburg will be alongside guard Carleigh Wenzel and forward Alyssa Latham.

On the men's side, Ben Hammond, Tyler Johnson and Amani Hansberry will represent the program, all three key returners from last season. Mike Young is in his eighth season with the Hokies. The Tech contingent will be a part of the afternoon session on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Men’s Basketball:
With affordability and value in mind, nonconference games without location went on sale last week. Locations will be assigned following the Ticket Membership claim process to help fill Cassell Coliseum from the bottom up and ensure the best environment possible.

Current ticket members should be on the lookout for specific communication regarding their claim process for non-conference games. Similar to last year, there will be 3 options: 

  1. Claim your same seats (discounted rate) during the Oct. 6 to Oct. 15 claim window.
  2. Upgrade your seats – If you don’t act on option 1, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase non-conference tickets and select a new location prior to the general public sale on Oct. 19.
  3. Take no action – Can't make the game? Taking no action during the claim window will return your non-conference seats, allowing them to be purchased by the general public and help fill every empty seat in Cassell.   

Women’s Basketball   
Also beginning last week, fans can purchase tickets to all nonconference women’s basketball games following the sales timeline above. 

Momentum continues to build for Virginia Tech women’s basketball entering year three under head coach Megan Duffy following a 23-win season and NCAA Tournament appearance. Nonconference tickets start at just $12 for adults and $7 for youth, giving fans an affordable way to experience the Virginia Tech gameday experience. 

Looking for the best deal? A limited number of general admission season tickets are still available, ensuring fans can experience every home game at Cassell Coliseum this season. This package can be purchased for only $80.
